The shrine is located on the Mt.Mimuro. According to legend, when Prince Shotoku built the Ikaruga Palace, he invited the god from his birthplace in Asuka, and built a shrine, which became called “Kamuoka Shrine”. The enshrined god is Susano-no-mikoto.
