In addition to providing tourism information on historical roads and Nara Prefecture, Horyuji i Center gives guidance on Ikaruga Village, including Horyu-ji Temple. It was created to provide various knowledge and allow visitors to interact with history, culture and people. It also is a convenient place for taking breaks and the like. The building is a two-story, tile-roofed structure that brings to mind the private houses of Ikaruga Village. The roof's slope has a bulge called a mukuri. The mushikomado latticed windows on the second story are a memorable feature.
