SPOT RUTE

Horinji Temple

This temple, which is also known as Mii-dera after the name of the place it's located, was reportedly built by Prince Yamashiro and others with a wish for his father, Prince Shotoku, to recover from illness. Its original three-story pagoda was destroyed by a thunderbolt in 1944, but it was re-built in 1975.
